Our story

Lunà Movements is a not-for-profit holistic movement and wellbeing space in Derby.

We offer a blend of dance, yoga and Pilates classes and nervous system regulation workshops to help people feel more at home in their bodies and lives. We provide tools and practices that empower people to make conscious choices, feel energised and grow along their life’s journey.

We support busy, burnt-out and neurodivergent professionals, creatives and movers of all levels to reconnect with their energy, creativity and sense of calm through intentional movement and compassionate holistic coaching.

Rooted in community, inclusivity and joy, our yoga, Pilates and dance classes and programmes are designed to be both grounding and uplifting,  whether you’re stepping into a dance studio for the first time, returning after time away, or looking for a deeper, more sustainable approach to wellbeing.

We believe movement is not about perfection or performance, but about expression, regulation and coming back to yourself.

Through dance, yoga, Pilates and holistc coaching, we guide you in nurturing your  mind, body, and soul.

We warmly invite you to join our community and explore where your journey may lead.

Meet your founder

Hi, I’m Sinéad. I’m a  Holistic Business & Mindset Coach, Yoga Teacher, and founder of Lunà Movements.

Lunà Movements was born from my personal journey of reconnecting with my body, intuition and sense of belonging, shaped by experiences of loss, mental-health challenges, trauma, burnout and neurodiversity.

What began as survival evolved into a deep commitment to helping others navigate their inner world with more clarity, compassion and choice.

My career began in Financial Strategy across the Retail and Healthcare sectors, where I witnessed first-hand the toll of chronic stress and burnout. This led me to retrain as a Life Coach, Yoga Teacher and Holistic Practitioner.

Through movement, coaching and self-inquiry, I rebuilt a foundation of calm, balance and authenticity, embracing neurodiverse traits and discovering the grounding power of mindful, expressive movement.

Alongside Lunà Movements, I also support individuals and small businesses through coaching, somatic awareness sessions and aligned strategic decision-making as a CIMA-qualified accountant.

I believe every human should have access to the transformative benefits of movement and expression; tools that, in my view, should be taught from our earliest years.

Our values

What we stand for.

Quality

The mental and physical wellbeing of each individual sits at the heart of Lunà Movements C.I.C.

In partnership with CIMSPA, all our sessions are guided by qualified instructors within their specialist areas. This ensures that every yoga, Pilates or dance class is delivered with care, professionalism and a deep respect for both physical and emotional safety.

We’re committed to creating spaces where people feel supported, held, and able to move in a way that is right for them.

Inclusivity

Lunà Movements is a space where everyone is welcome.

We encourage participation across our full range of classes, supporting individuals from all walks of life and at every stage of their journey:

  • Dance classes from beginner to advanced
  • Yoga and Pilates with thoughtful adaptations for a range of health needs
  • Workshops designed to gently introduce movement or deepen existing practice

Our approach is person-centred. We recognise that stepping into a movement space can feel challenging, and we work with each individual to support them in a way that feels accessible and empowering.

Alongside this, we offer coaching spaces for those who wish to better understand their needs, supporting them to move through life with greater ease, rather than feeling the need to “mask” or push through.

Growth

Lunà Movements creates opportunities for growth, both individually and within the wider community.

Through collaborations with organisations such as Derby College, CIMSPA, dance networks and local theatre groups, we aim to contribute meaningfully to Derby’s creative and wellbeing landscape, while adding value to the local economy.

For our team, we provide a supportive environment to develop, whether deepening expertise within their fields of expertise or exploring new opportunities across Lunà Movements.

For our community, we offer a full pathway, from beginner’s dance, yoga and Pilates classes through to advanced sessions and coaching, creating space for ongoing development at every stage of life.

Wherever someone is starting from, there is space here to grow.
